Aaron Goodvin Opens Up on His EP Drinkin’ Hand

Aaron Goodvin's ep Drinkin' Hand

Double platinum-selling, CCMA Award-winning country artist Aaron Goodvin is back with his most personal project yet.

His brand new six-song EP, Drinkin’ Hand, takes listeners on an intimate journey through the highs and lows of his life over the past few years.

A Deeply Personal Collection

On Drinkin’ Hand, Goodvin doesn’t shy away from sharing his story. The EP chronicles his battle with alcohol, his journey to sobriety, and his new chapter as a father. All of this unfolds against a backdrop of massive career milestones, including millions of streams, top-charting radio hits, and even inspiring a global line dance craze. Through it all, he’s come out with a fresh perspective on life and music.

The title track, “Drinkin’ Hand,” serves as the emotional anchor of the EP. It perfectly captures the fine balance between vulnerability and celebration that runs throughout the project.

Songs That Tell a Story

The EP features fan favourites and new tracks that showcase Goodvin’s range as both a singer and songwriter. “Country Dance” has already racked up over three million streams and continues to grow. “Written All Over It” offers a feel-good romantic vibe, while “Your Time to Stay” delivers a heartfelt reality check that many will find deeply relatable.

Rounding out the EP are two new songs that are sure to become instant hits. “Not Too Much to Hate” is a reflective, heartfelt addition, and “Said No Redneck Ever” is a rowdy, sing-along summer anthem that’s set to be Goodvin’s next radio single.

A Song for Everyone

“Said No Redneck Ever,” co-written with Brent Baxter and Nashville artist Trea Landon, brings a playful energy to the EP. Goodvin explains, “Trea put his southern spin on it and I began to realize that growing up in northern Alberta and listening to Jeff Foxworthy’s ‘You Might Be A Redneck’ as a kid, I related to the song, too! Anyone whose mom is a great cook, or just likes to have fun on Friday night, or who loves their dog, can totally relate. When I perform it live, it’s a true and instant sing-along song. The audience participation is amazing, and when we wrote it, that’s exactly what we wanted!”
