🎙️ Why We Use Riverside for Every Podcast and Piece of Content We Create

Logan and Jenna from Front Porch Music using Riverside

If you’ve ever tried to start a podcast or create consistent social media content, you know how overwhelming it can feel.

The gear, the software, the editing … it’s a lot!

That’s exactly why we started using Riverside, and it has completely changed how we record, edit, and share everything we make.

Our team uses Riverside for both of our podcasts, On The Porch with Front Porch Music and mastered. by Front Porch Music, plus a ton of interviews and social media clips.

I use it, Jenna uses it, and our producer Jason basically lives inside it. It’s hands-down one of the most important tools in our business.

Why We Love Riverside – Our Riverside Review 2025

Riverside is an all-in-one platform for recording, editing, and creating podcasts and videos.

It was built for podcasters, producers, and marketers, but honestly, it’s perfect for artists too. If you’re a musician who wants to make more content without spending hours on it, this is your new best friend.

The platform makes podcasting and video creation incredibly easy. From recording to editing to exporting finished clips, Riverside simplifies everything. It records audio and video locally on each participant’s device before uploading, which means that even if someone’s internet cuts out, the recording still sounds flawless.

That’s a huge deal for us because we record remote interviews all the time.

The audio quality is top-notch. We’ve had guests with less-than-ideal setups whose recordings came out sounding like studio quality once processed through Riverside.

The built-in tools help clean up background noise and polish everything automatically.

AI Features That Actually Help

We’ve seen Riverside evolve a lot over the years. When we first started, it was just a great recording tool. Now, the AI features have taken things to another level.

  • Text-based editing lets you edit your podcast like a Word document. You can delete filler words and pauses just by removing them from the transcript.
  • Automatic “umm” and silence removal keeps things sounding natural while tightening up your conversation.
  • AI voice cloning is wild. Sometimes, it’s impossible to record an intro or voiceover. This tool can do it for. you! I recently lost my voice before a deadline. Riverside cloned my voice and read my script perfectly … with my tone, inflection, and all. It’s very creepy, but it definitely saved the day!
  • AI clip generation takes your full episode and breaks it into short, shareable clips for social media or YouTube. It’s a huge time saver and makes staying consistent online way easier.

We’ve been using these features to turn full podcast episodes into multiple pieces of social content. It’s given us more reach, better engagement, and a lot more hours back in the day.

What Could Be Better With Riverside

No product is perfect, and there are a few things that can be annoying with Riverside.

The thumbnails and images it creates often pick unflattering moments to showcase, and they’re often unusable (Send me a message and I’ll show you a few of myself as proof and we can laugh at). We usually replace those manually.

Also, if a guest isn’t using Google Chrome or has an outdated browser, it can cause issues when connecting. It’s rare, but it happens. Recording in person is another area we haven’t mastered yet … that might be more about our setup than the platform itself.

Price and Value

For what it does, Riverside is incredibly affordable.

We use the Pro plan, which costs around $24/month, and it’s worth every penny.

It handles our podcast production from start to finish and powers nearly all our social media content. It’s replaced a few other tools we used to pay for, so it’s actually saved us money.

If you’re curious, there’s also a free plan. It’s limited but gives you a good feel for what Riverside can do before upgrading.

The Bottom Line

We’ve been with Riverside for years and have watched it grow alongside us.

Every time they release new features, our workflow gets easier, faster, and better. For anyone in music, podcasting, or content creation, this is one of those tools that actually delivers on what it promises.

If you want to simplify your production process, make better content faster, and sound professional without spending a fortune, Riverside is absolutely worth checking out.
