5. “The Cough You Can’t Get Rid Of” with Riley Taylor

Riley Taylor first joined us On The Porch in 2022. At the time, he had just won the Boots and Hearts Showcase, was preparing to release his first single, and did not even have a website.

When he returned for Season 4, Riley was checking in from a hotel room while touring across Ontario with Kip Moore.

In this episode, we talked about just how far he has come. Riley’s debut album Story To Tell is out everywhere now, and he opened up about life on the road, finding his footing as an artist, and stepping confidently into this next chapter of his career.

If you are new to Riley’s music, he shared where to start, including tracks like “Fucked Up,” “Hometowns,” and “Off The Liquor.” With his Hometowns Tour on the horizon, this conversation captures an artist hitting his stride.

4. What Is In The Saskatchewan Water with Josh Stumpf

There must be something special in the Saskatchewan water.

In this episode, we sat down with Josh Stumpf to talk about his journey from small-town Saskatchewan to the national stage. Fresh off being named iHeart Future Star and winning Emerging Artist of the Year at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards, Josh shared what it has been like signing with MDM Recordings and releasing his debut single, “Highway Money.”

We also talked about the heart behind the Sunset Country Music Festival, which Josh helped launch during COVID to bring live music back to his community. From early road stories and Nashville writing sessions to mentorship from Jess Moskaluke, this episode is full of perspective, gratitude, and ambition.

Josh’s story is a reminder of what can happen when community and opportunity come together.

3. Leave Room for the Magic with Parker Graye

Parker Graye first joined us On The Porch back in Season 1, and watching her growth since then has been incredible.

By the time Season 4 rolled around, Parker had reached some major milestones. She performed at Boots and Hearts, earned a Top 40 radio hit with “Good at Gettin’ Gone,” became a semi finalist in SiriusXM’s Top of the Country competition, and released her debut EP Lyin’ to Me.

In this conversation, we caught up on her move to Nashville, the importance of building the right circle, and how her songwriting has evolved. Parker also reflected on moments like landing a billboard at Yonge and Dundas Square with Amazon Music and being featured at the CCMA Songwriters Unplugged sessions.

With her current single “Halfway” surpassing 1.1 million streams in just four months, Parker is clearly building something special while leaving room for the magic.

2. What Are You Chasing? with Kyle McKearney

Kyle McKearney’s episode quickly became a favourite with listeners.

In this thoughtful conversation, Kyle talked about his journey through alternative country and Americana, from growing up in Northern British Columbia to finding success in Nashville and beyond. He shared how his sound evolved from rock to country and why creating music for personal joy has become his focus.

We also discussed his recent career highlights, including having music featured on Heartland and winning Alternative Country Album of the Year at the CCMAs. Kyle opened up about songwriting, balancing family life with touring, and the importance of the Calgary music community. Along the way, we also learned that music is not the only thing he builds. His love of construction and renovation came up more than once.

This episode resonated because of its honesty and reflection.

1. All PR Is Good PR with Alli Walker

Taking the top spot for Season 4 is our return conversation with Alli Walker.

Since her first appearance On The Porch, Alli’s career has taken off in a big way. In this episode, she opened up about moving to Nashville, signing recording and publishing deals, and writing with some of the biggest names in the industry. She spoke candidly about the challenges, the wins, and the validation that comes with being recognized as a songwriter.

We also talked about her viral bagpipe performance of “Whiskey’s Gone” and the unforgettable experience of performing on stage with Shania Twain at the Churchill Park Music Festival.

This episode perfectly captures what Season 4 was all about. Growth, persistence, and showing up when opportunity knocks.
