Brandi Vezina is back — and she’s bringing a fearless blend of heart, heritage, and hard truths with her.

The Red River Métis country artist has officially dropped her new EP Grit & Glamour, a soul-stirring collection of songs that capture life in all its beauty and chaos. Known for her unapologetic voice and emotionally charged lyrics, Brandi continues to carve out her space as one of Canada’s compelling country storytellers.

Listen to “Grit & Glamour”

A Little Bit Grit, A Little Bit Glam

From country-rock stompers to heartfelt slow-burners, Grit & Glamour is packed with songs that reflect Brandi’s signature blend of sass, sensitivity, and strength. The seven-track EP includes:

  • “Tornado in a Trailer Park” – a rowdy, unapologetic anthem that proves Brandi can raise a little hell when she wants to.
  • “Thinkin’ Bout You” – a reflective and melodic tune that touches on longing and lingering feelings.
  • “Old Fashioned Values” – a nod to Brandi’s roots, wrapped in warm harmonies and a classic country feel.
  • “Good at Being Bad” – a cheeky track that showcases her rebellious charm.

Whether she’s digging into heartbreak or revving up for a backroad joyride, every song on this EP feels lived-in, honest, and uniquely her.

At the Heart of Grit & Glamour: “Paper Town”

One of the standout tracks on Grit & Glamour is the hauntingly powerful “Paper Town.” Inspired by the collapse of a Northern mill town, the song paints a vivid picture of loss that goes far beyond the economy — it’s about the collapse of identity and the ripple effects that follow.

“It’s about more than a job loss,” Brandi says. “It’s about identity, legacy, and the devastation of watching your community unravel.”

Supported by the Manitoba Arts Council and Manitoba Film & Music, “Paper Town” stands as a poignant tribute to working-class families across Canada. It’s not just a song — it’s a preservation of a story often left behind.

Making Moves in 2024

This release follows a landmark year for Brandi. She’s been turning heads across the country with performances at BreakOut West and Country Music Week, and was recently honoured with the Vince Fontaine Legacy Award. She also joined the Women in Music Canada Entrepreneur Accelerator, further cementing her status as a leader in both sound and spirit.

Brandi’s presence is growing across the airwaves, too — with national exposure on SiriusXM Canada’s Indigiverse and Top of the Country, plus major playlist adds like Boots & Mocs, The Lodge, Indigenous Now, and the Indigenous Music Countdown.

With co-writing trips to Nashville and tour dates at Burt Block Party, Moose N Fiddle, and the Orange Shirt Day Bomber Tailgate Party, Brandi’s Grit & Glamour Tour is taking her message and music across Canada — and she’s just getting started.
