Emily Clair is an exciting artist in the Canadian country landscape, and we love everything she releases. So we are really excited about her latest single “Drive Me Home”.
“Drive Me Home” is a fantastic single that’s about expressing needs and wants at the end of the night. Asking the person you’re vibing with to take you home and continue the night.
This song features strong vocals from Emily … as always … and showcases some fantastic songwriting from her and her co-writers. She has such a strong and powerful voice that elevates this song to a higher level. But honestly, she could sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and turn it into a heartfelt power ballad.
“The song is inspired by female empowerment,” Emily says about “Drive Me Home”. “It’s all of the things a confident and strong female might want to say in country music but might not necessarily feel that she can (as we know how this industry is).” She continues, “We often hear men singing songs about their desires and needs and I figured that if a man can sing about this topic than why can’t I! It’s a fresh new and bold idea, all about a woman taking her man home and expressing how she feels about it.”
Be sure to stream “Drive Me Home” on Apple Music, Spotify and anywhere you get your music.
