Get Wild and Let Loose with Mandy McMillan’s Single “Crazy Crazy”

Mandy McMillan

Canadian country-pop artist Mandy McMillan is inviting all of us to toss our worries aside and get a little … well, “Crazy Crazy.”

Her newly reimagined single, now available on all streaming platforms, is all about owning your fun, letting your hair down, and embracing your wilder side with zero apologies.

Originally included on Mandy’s 2022 album Dream Catcher, this was a song she always held close to her heart. Written alongside fellow Alberta artist Cody Yost, the track was originally a playful favourite, but Mandy knew it still had more life in it.

“I always wanted to release it as a single, but through the pandemic, the timing never felt right,” she shares. “Since my album dropped, I kept listening to ‘Crazy Crazy’ and imagining it with electric banjo… so this upgraded version gave me the chance to bring that vision to life.”

A New Life for “Crazy Crazy”

This new version of the song bursts with carefree energy and big country-pop vibes. It’s quirky, quick-witted, and feels like the perfect soundtrack for a windows-down road trip or a spontaneous night out.

While Mandy’s music often leans into deeper, uplifting messages, this song lets her show off a different side. One that’s just as honest, but a lot more playful. She describes it as a “catalyst into the next chapter” of her music, revealing a tongue-in-cheek charm while staying true to her core message of authenticity.

If you’re looking for a feel-good anthem to add to your summer playlist (or, honestly, to blast anytime you need a boost), this song is it.

Meet Mandy McMillan

If Mandy McMillan is a new name for you, consider this your official introduction. Born in Edmonton and raised in nearby Stony Plain, Mandy’s musical journey took off in 2008 when she won a Country Music Television Canada contest.

A win that led her to Nashville.

She’s opened for legends like Trisha Yearwood and Blake Shelton, cracked the Top 10 of ole’s “Play for Publisher,” and released a steady stream of music, including her 2014 self-titled EP and her 2022 album Dream Catcher.

Now back in Edmonton, Mandy has been busy performing at festivals like Pigeon Lake Music Festival, “Play On!” Edmonton, and Wild Roses Festival, while also diving deeper into songwriting and even studying production at Berklee College of Music.

With new music in the works, “Crazy Crazy” serves as the perfect bridge between the Dream Catcher era and what’s next. It’s a fun, fearless preview of where she’s headed — and it sounds like it’s going to be a wild ride.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
