[On The Porch S3:E18] Les Bottes Yeehaw with Trudy

In this episode of On The Porch with Front Porch Music, we take a virtual trip to Quebec to have a chat with Canadian country artist Trudy.

Trudy has had an incredible year, becoming a finalist in the SiriusXM Top of the Country competition. Her journey with SiriusXM has taken her to some of the biggest stages, including a showcase at Nashville’s CMA Fest, a performance at LASSO in Montreal, and an upcoming appearance at the CCMA’s Country Music Week in Edmonton.

Trudy shares her experiences as an independent artist after her time with a major label, offering insight into the challenges and rewards of navigating the industry on her own terms.

She also opens up about her unique journey through reality TV, having competed on The Voice France.

And for those planning a trip to Quebec, Trudy helps us translate some essential French country slang that you won’t want to miss.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
