Jenna Walker of Canadian country duo The Reklaws has welcomed her first child on New Year’s Day. This follows her pregnancy announcement on stage at Rock the Park in London, Ontario.
Walker and her husband, Ryan Watson, shared the news on Instagram, confirming the birth of their son, Walker Ryan Watson, on January 1, 2026, at 10:13 p.m.
“We are speechless, and overwhelmed and just completely in love,” Walker wrote alongside photos of her newborn. “To say it was a Happy New Year’s doesn’t cover even half of it.”
From Rock the Park to New Year’s Day
Fans first learned of Walker’s pregnancy during The Reklaws’ performance at Rock the Park in London, where she paused mid-set to share the news with the crowd. The announcement was met with loud cheers and quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the festival.
The moment offered fans a rare glimpse into a deeply personal milestone, shared live during a performance and captured on video as Walker and her brother and bandmate, Stuart Walker, reacted to the crowd’s response.
Just months later, that announcement came full circle with the arrival of the couple’s son on New Year’s Day.
A Moment Shared With Fans
Walker’s decision to share both her pregnancy and the birth of her son publicly has been met with an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists alike. The New Year’s Day announcement marked a milestone not only for Walker and Watson, but also for fans who have followed the journey from the stage in London to the start of 2026.
In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
