Canadian country artist Aaron Goodvin has done it once again with his single “Boy Like Me”. It’s another great song to add to his growing list of hits.
Alberta native, now residing in Nashville with his wife Victoria and their dogs, has truly made a name for himself over the last few years. Every song he releases seems to become a hit in the country music scene. He’s also penned music for some big artists. For example, he was a writer on Luke Bryan’s multi-platinum selling album, Crash My Party.
“Boy Like Me” is his first release since his album V, which received both JUNO and CCMA award nominations. Aaron’s new song is going to get stuck in your head this summer. It has a catchy beat, and is a true feel-good song that has an infectious hook. The song is about finding that special someone to be with for the rest of your life.

This song has the feeling that when you finally meet that person you instantly know they are the one. this is how Aaron felt towards his now wife Victoria when the first met.
Aaron goes on to say, “something every artist wants to have is a timeless song that you can play on repeat and never get tired of hearing, and there’s something about ‘Boy Like Me’ that just feels right.”
He remembers the first night he met Victoria. He sent a picture to his mom and they both knew she was the one. Aaron has expressed that over the past year being stuck at home, it has been fun thinking about their future as a couple and they discussed growing their family.
“Boy like Me” is a full-circle song for Aaron. “Boy Like Me” was co-written by Aaron himself as well as Skip Black and Michael August. It was co-produced with Grammy-Nominated Matt McClure.
“Lonely Drum” is the single that started it all and got him noticed and heard across Canada. That song earned him a double platinum designation. “Lonely Drum” has become a global wide obsession. It’s resulted in flash mobs from Australia, Switzerland and Las Vegas. Billboard named Aaron Goodvin as one of their Country Acts to Watch List.

Aaron has nailed down a total of seven CCMA Award nominations, and a 2020 JUNO Award nomination for Country Album of the Year for V. He also took home Songwriter of the Year. His single “You Are” hit gold-certified, went number one at radio, and led to a national tour with Rascal Flatts.
