Kalsey Kulyk Releases Music Video for “Bad Liar”

Kalsey Kulyk's Summer Song "Bad Liar"

Earlier this Summer we introduced you to “Bad Liar” from emerging Canadian country artist Kalsey Kulyk. We included this song in our list of Top Canadian Country Summer Songs for The Canadian Country Music Show. Kalsey has now released the accompanying music video for this catchy single.

“Bad Liar” from Kalsey Kulyk is one of those songs that is easy to listen to, sing along with, and can be played on repeat without getting annoying. It’s the perfect song for lounging on a hot Summer day. It’s a song about pretending to have moved on after a breakup – but in fact being a “Bad Liar” and not able to hide her real feelings.

Kalsey’s music is the perfect blend between traditional and contemporary country music (Side note: If you need a good cry, go listen to Kalsey’s song “More Time”. It’s tragically gorgeous, and such a great country song). She also has an incredibly captivating story. In high school, Kalsey fell ill and was diagnosed with cancer. She says that the entire experience solidified her belief in a career in music, and has since been in remission for the last ten years. She says “What is life unless you’re doing what you love every single day?”

The video is a nice compliment to the single. It’s a fun and light video that showcases Kalsey and her band playing along with the song – all while being followed by a mascara-filled rain cloud. Throughout the entire video, it’s hard not to smile. Kalsey looks absolutely stunning, and we can’t get enough of that hat that she’s wearing!

It’s a fun video that compliments the single very nicely.

Be sure to include this song on your Summer playlists, you’ll want to listen to this on repeat!

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
