From the voice that brought you the On The Porch theme song, is our 100th episode with Owen Riegling.
If you have been listening since the early days, we did proclaim our 100th episode would be with Shania Twain, we even called it the “Road to Shania”. Somewhere along the way we got distracted by all of the incredibly talented artists across Canada.
We’re thrilled to be celebrating our 100th episode with Owen. He has a lot to show for the last four years. From recording in his parents’ driving shed with a handful of self-produced songs out – to a record deal, publishing deal, years of touring under his belt, multiple CCMA Awards and two albums. I’m sure I missed something. Oh yes – he made his Grand Ole Opry debut April 22nd.
We caught up on all the crazy that has been Owen’s life the last few years.
We’ve got Owen slotted for episode 200, in real life, on a front porch, with a bottle of whiskey.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
