Kempenfest, one of Ontario’s largest outdoor arts, crafts, and music festivals, is celebrating its 52nd year in 2024.
This year’s festival promises to be the biggest and best yet, offering an incredible lineup of musical talent, including Tyler Joe Miller and some of Canada’s best country artists.
The History and Attractions of Kempenfest
Kempenfest began in 1971 with a handful of artists displaying their work on snow fencing at the Formosa Springs Brewery. Over the years, it has grown into a massive celebration of arts, crafts, and music, attracting visitors from all over Ontario and beyond.
The festival now features nearly 300 jury-selected artisans, a popular antique show, a bustling midway, and a newly introduced Poutine Village with over 30 unique poutine options.
Families can enjoy the Kids Village, which offers live music, interactive games, face painting, and art creation.
The Oasis Patio provides a relaxing venue on the shore of Kempenfeldt Bay, where visitors can enjoy food, drinks, and live entertainment.
