The Story Behind The Song
“Break My Heart Again” is a lovestruck heartbreaker … what do I mean by that? Well it’s a breakup song for the hopeless romantics. It’s a song of reminiscing on a relationship and wanting to go back to the beginning and start over, even knowing how it ends.
Relatable to many, “Break My Heart Again” voices the ‘what ifs’ that come along with replaying a relationship. It really is a good reminder that picking it apart and trying to put it back together won’t change the outcome.
Jessica says “‘Break My Heart Again’ has a way of making you feel heartbroken, reminiscing on the good and the bad, even if you’ve been single for years.”
Digging in a little deeper for this one, “Break My Heart Again” contrasts the light and bubbly “Think of Us” and hopeful love song, “If Momma Raised Him Right”.
“Break My Heart Again” was co-written with Ontario-based singer-songwriter TJ Simpson and produced by Shawn Moore. “Break My Heart Again” will be released with Jessica Sole’s EP, Think Of Us in April of this year.
